E’ stata lanciata da Nokia la versione definita “final” in tutti i sensi. Parliamo di OVI Contacts. Una applicazione di instant messaging e soprattutto molto utilizzata per la gestione avanzata della rubrica telefonica degli utenti. Oltre a questo, il produttore finlandese ha deciso di rilasciare una versione molto più performante per i device mobile basati su piattaforma Symbian S60 3rd Edition e la 5th Edition.
La versione definita matura, dopo aver subito 18 mesi di sviluppi per uscir fuori dalle varie beta, è stata resa disponibile sul sito http://contacts.ovi.com/dist/app.
Lo sviluppo sarà fermato con questa relase, anche perchè la Nokia ha dichiarato nello stesso comunicato di lancio che preferisce attualmente concentrare i propri sforzi sull’applicazione di Messaging Chat, con la quale, la Nokia affiancherà ad OVI Chat anche gli altri sistemi di Instant Messaging, come MSN et similia. Il lancio dovrebbe avvenire nell’autunno del 2010.
